"Until I Fall Away"

I was watching my Gin Blossoms DVD and I just really realized how beautiful some of the parts of "Until I Fall Away" are, and how talented some of the drum parts are, which could explain why they didn't play it live. They have a new drummer you see. But anyways, If you listen to the song closely, and listen to the acoustic rhythm parts, not the leads, and listen to the acoustic rhythm behind the solo, it is SO GOOD. Almost amazingly good. And what's funny about it is you can teach anyone to play that part of the song in a week. You can teach anyone who knows how to play guitar that in 30 seconds. It's just very beautiful how the piece fits in there. It's just very basic chords. And, also on that note.. about beauty. There is amazing technical beauty in the drum part of this song. It is so talented, and it sounds so beautiful. I'm not usually the type who hears things that involve percussion, but there's something beautiful about this. I had to watch the first version (pre-MTV) of the video about 3 times over and over just watching the drummer. He's amazing. He uses a little tambourine and hits it with his stick, and it's in good rhythm, and it makes the song very beautiful. You can almost lose yourself in that tambourine. I don't know. Unless you know the Gin Blossoms, or are willing to download the song, I don't think you'd understand. It's like when the Pre Chorus comes on and the music starts to get louder, you can hear the tambourine start to hit a few times, and it's kinda choppy and it serves as a very amazing technical buildup because in the chorus it has it's own little rhythm and it's very beautiful.
