I don't have much to say lately, I apologize. I'm trying to decide who is the trippiest band of the late 80s/early 90s. It's between Porno For Pyros and Janes Addiction. Porno For Pyros.. man.. listen to that last part of "Pets".. it's amazing! The lyrics are thought provoking.. "My friend says we're like the dinosaurs, and here we are doing ourselves in much faster than they ever did." Now, take away the lyrics and the song is still probably the trippiest of all times. Nice acoustic background, wah wah distorted leads.. and the end part, no lyrics and just a flute and acoustic guitar.. Man, what the hell. That stuff is way too maazing. I want to be able to make music like this. There is such a groove to it, and there is so much mystery invovled in it. A lot of passion, and it makes you think. That's like all the elements of an amazing song. I should buy their CD. I could easily download the whole thing, but I've never owned it before, so I would feel as if I were stealing the CD. I only download full CD's I've already owned. "children are just fucked up in the head.. adults are even more fucked up, and elderlies are just like children". or something to that extent. *shrug*. I don't know. There's a weird aspect of this music, that you know was drug induced, but you can't help but think about the things they say. About how true some of it seems. I mean, doing ourselves in so fast has nothing to do with dinosaurs, but just hearing that relationship makes you think so much. I dunno. I'll leave the drug usage to other people. I just like hearing music like this. Wow, come to think of it. I don't know if this is a clean tone guitar or an acoustic. I'm leaning twoards acoustic. And Jane's Addiction.. their music is mostly trippy, but not relaly lyrically. I have to give the award to Porno For Pyros, They're more trippy musically and lyrically. Oh well. Either way I'm listening to Pearl Jam right now. That in turn makes me think of Julie. If you think about it, Janes Addiction and Porno For Pyros are practically the same band, with a different name. Perry Farrell is an amazing guy. I don't know what makes PFP so much better. I'll never know, but whatever it is.. Tim likes it. Oh well. I'm gonna go. More later. Tim Oh..
